Hanne Struyfs Hanne is a PhD student at the University of Antwerp, Belgium, and she will work on a research project at the TNL from January to June 2016. She will investigate certain magnetic resonance imaging techniques to predict rate of disease progression in Alzheimer’s disease. She is granted the Scientific Prize Gustave Boël - Sofina fellowship for her research stay at the TNL. She also received a Baekeland fellowship from the agency for Innovation by Science and Technology for the research she is conducting in collaboration with the UAntwerp / KULeuven spin-off companies icometrix (Leuven, Belgium) and ADx NeuroSciences (Ghent, Belgium)." |

Dr. Dan Li, MD, Neurologist Dr. Dan Li is a neurologist who works in the Department of Neurology, Xuanwu Hospital, Capital Medical University, in Beijing, China. She majors in neurodegenerative and cognitive impairment disease, especially in the evaluation and diagnosis of early-onset Alzheimer’s Disease and primary progressive aphasia. Dr. Li arrived at the McGill University Research Centre for Studies in Aging on March 12, 2019 as a visiting scholar and will stay for one year. Dr. Li is funded by the Natural Science Foundation of Beijing (The Study of Topological Structure and Brain Network in the Variants of Early-Onset Alzheimer’s Disease). Her study has recruited patients with amnestic early-onset AD, logopenic variant of AD and posterior cortical atrophy. With the supervision of Dr. Gauthier and Dr. Pedro Rosa-Neto, Dr Li will investigate the functional and white matter changes of EOAD and will analyze the association between the topological structure and brain network in the variants of early-onset Alzheimer’s Disease. |
